Book Check Out
Each student has the opportunity to visit the library at least once a week with his/her class. If your student has overdue items out, they may not be allowed to check out new items until the overdue items are returned. If a student has one book out (not overdue), he/she will be allowed to check-out the amount remaining allowed for that grade level.
· Kindergarten students are allowed to check out one book each week
· 1st and 2nd grade students are allowed to check out two books each week
· 3rd – 6th grade students are allowed to check out three books each week and may check out additional resources for research projects as needed.
Lost/Overdue books
Overdue notices will be sent on books that have been checked out for more than two weeks by email. If you should receive a notice, please look for the lost/overdue item and return it as soon as possible. If you cannot locate the item, please pay the replacement amount listed on the notice and submit this payment to the library so we can clear your student’s record and so they can continue to check out books. Another option for book replacement is to buy the book elsewhere, like Amazon, and bring it to the library. It would have to be a book in good shape and comparable in structure. Hardbound = hardbound, paperback = paperback. If the book is found and returned, you will be reimbursed.
Please feel free to ask Mrs. Henning any questions concerning these procedures. [email protected]
